When we bought our house one of the rooms that we were keen to make over was the kitchen. It was old with units falling apart, lino flooring with big tears and missing sections, bright blue woodwork and textured ceilings. A broken old back door and broken patio doors, a battered brass extractor hood, ugly floral tiles and a bad layout that didn't optimize the space in the room meaning there was hardly any worktop space.
After measuring up the kitchen and marking out the doors, windows etc we then wrote our wishlist of things we wanted in our new kitchen from integrated appliances to open shelving where we could display bits and pieces like my collection of pastel ceramics and cute storage jars. We also wanted it to be light, bright, with plenty of workspace and storage, especially for all my baking!
Then with our budget in mind we visited and looked at a bunch of kitchen ranges, finally choosing the B&Q IT White Country Style.
So before I show you our kitchen plans I wanted to share with you how our kitchen looked before...
