Washi tape bunting tags tutorial

Years ago I made some pretty bunting out of washi tape to decorate my craft room and loved how easy it was to make and how cute it looked. Which got me thinking how it would work nicely as gift tags on my Christmas gifts and as a cute 'Merry Christmas' sign.

To go with my Christmas colour palette I used a variety of washi tapes in gold, peach and mint on my white and gold bakers twine...

How-to step by step

  • 'Merry Christmas' pretty washi tape bunting tutorial

    Step 1

    Start by tearing off a strip of masking tape and laying it under the bakers twine so the bakers twine lies across the centre.

    Step 2

    Fold the washi tape in half over the bakers twine.

    Step 3

    Make a card template so that all your bunting is the same length and shape. Use your template to mark your cutting lines.

    Step 4

    Carefully cut along your pencil lines.

    Step 5

    Using a pair of tweezers place your letter in position and smooth down with your fingers.

    Step 6

    Repeat above steps till you have your word or wors spelt out.
