Toddler Girls Drawstring Backpack Sewing Tutorial

Over the past couple of weeks I have been sharing with you the gifts I made for my youngest niece Phoebe...

When I asked my youngest sister Charlotte for some ideas for Phoebe and her elder brother Daniel she suggested a drawstring backpack like the Peter Rabbit ones I made their elder cousins a couple of years ago. When I made Samuel and JJ's I used a canvas so didn't line them but as this time I was using a quilting weight cotton for the outer I decided to interface the outers and line them with a cotton duck so they were robust. To keep Phoebe's pretty I used a pretty pink ribbon for the drawcord.
