Triumph Tulip 'Alibi'
Last Autumn I planted a bunch of Triumph Tulip 'Alibi', they have just come into flower and I am loving them. Especially in front of the bluebells, such a pretty colour combination. Come this Autumn I want to plant more for a really strong colourful impact!
A soft Triumph tulip for dreamy, romantic planting. Tulip Alibi bears elegant upright stems of lavender-pink flowers growing to 40cm tall. They are ideal for cut flowers and can be planted in borders or containers.
Plant between August and December. Dig soil improver and bonemeal into the planting hole before planting. In heavy clay soils add horticultural grit to the bottom of the planting hole. Plant 12 cm deep and 12 cm apart.
Water well during dry spells. Top dress with a general purpose plant food as the last flowers fade. Allow foliage to die down naturally, before digging up the bulbs. Store in a cool dry place and replant next Autumn as above.
