Tala Fondant Rolling Pin

When it came to making my niece Molly's birthday cake, I did a lot of research on applying fondant ( ready to roll) icing. I have covered numerous cakes in my time, but I am always looking to improve. One thing I did not know is that you should never use a wooden rolling pin as it draws the moisture out of the fondant and can cause 'elephant skin' (the wrinkly cracking effect). So I asked the lovely peeps at Tala if I could try out their Fondant Rolling pin, they of course said yes. Well I am delighted with my new fit for purpose fondant rolling pin, it comes in a generous length of 50cm, so is perfect for even the largest cakes, is non stick and has no obvious handles etc so you get perfectly rolled fondant or marzipan every time! I can't recommend it enough and will only be using my new fondant rolling pin in future when it comes to rolling out my icing.
