White chocolate ducks on blue chocolate water recipe

Happy Weekend!

To decorate my Tiffin last week for Easter I decided to also use my new Tala Easter Shape Silicone Chocolate Moulds to make white chocolate ducks on blue chocolate water. To match my white chocolate Rabbits on white chocolate coloured green grass.

I made them much the same way as the chocolate rabbits but instead used blue chocolate colouring and dipped the ducks in the blue chocolate before placing them on the disks of chocolate so they looked like they had rippled the water!

To get the perfect circle shape to sit the duck in, I used a silicone macaron mould!

So super easy to make but pretty cute! I think they would also make lovely cupcake toppers for a baby shower or kids birthday!

Method

White chocolate ducks on blue chocolate water

  1. Break or chop your white chocolate into small pieces.

  2. Place the chocolate in a bain marie or in the microwave on low heat. Keep checking your chocolate and stirring it till it has all melted.

  3. Fill your duck mould with the melted chocolate, gently tap the bottom of the moulds to remove any air bubbles, leave them to set. Turn out your white chocolate ducks.

  4. Melt some more white chocolate and add a few drops of chocolate food colouring and stir until colour is even.

  5. Using a teaspoon spoon a little blue chocolate into four spaces on your macaron mould. Gently tap the bottom of the moulds to remove any air bubbles, leave them a few minutes so they begin to set.

  6. Dip a set white chocolate duck into the melted blue chocolate and place in the centre of the chocolate disk. Leave to completely set, before peeling decoration off the mat. Store in an airtight container or jar until ready to eat or serve.
