White chocolate and orange truffle recipe

Looking for a last minute gift to make, well I have the answer for you... white chocolate orange truffles. They are a cinch to make, taste yummy and look pretty. I added a little peach food colouring to give them a pretty peach colour.

I placed mine in mini cupcake cases and packaged them up in a white and gold box from Ikea lined in pink and white stripe glassine paper. I finished the package off by wrapping it in peach ribbon, securing the ribbon on the bottom using my hot glue gun and making a ribbon bow for the top.

So that all my truffles are the same size I weigh each ball to around 22g. For Christmas sparkle I sprinkled mine in edible glitter.

Method

White chocolate and orange truffles

  1. Place the chocolate and cream in a medium sized saucepan on a medium heat.

  2. Stir until chocolate has completely melted and has a smooth texture.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in orange extract

  4. Pour into small bowl and refrigerate for about 1 1/2 hours, or until set.

  5. Scoop tsp of chocolate mix into your hand and roll into a ball shape.

To decorate

  1. Roll in icing sugar to coat.

  2. Place in mini cake cases and sprinkle tops with edible glitter.
