Grand Marnier chocolate truffles recipe

Hand-made truffles make a lovely gift and with Valentine's day just around the corner why not make a whole bunch for your loved ones...

Today I am sharing my easy recipe for a lovely rich milk chocolate truffle with a delicious hint of Grand Marnier liqueur and orange zest coated in cocoa powder.

So that all my truffles are roughly the same size I weigh each ball to around 22g and use the best quality milk chocolate I can afford.

Method

Grand Marnier chocolate truffles

  1. Place the chocolate drops and cream in a bain marie on a medium heat.

  2. Stir using a silicone spatula, until chocolate has completely melted and has a smooth texture.

  3. Remove from heat and whisk in Grand Marnier

  4. Pour into small bowl and refrigerate for about 1 1/2 hours, or until set.

  5. Scoop tsp of chocolate mix into your hand and roll into a ball shape.

  6. Roll in cocoa powder and place in tiny cupcake case. Continue till all the mixture has gone.

  7. Refrigerate to store, for up to a week (but best served at room temperature).

  • 400g milk chocolate (coarsely chopped)

  • 4 tbsp double cream

  • 1 tsp orange (zest)

  • 2 Grand Marnier
