Giant Easter Chocolate Button Recipe

Earlier today I showed you the mini pastel Easter sugar shapes I bought last year, the colours were perfect for my 'Pretty Colourful' Easter theme so I really wanted to use them somewhere. I had already planned out what I was decorating my cheesecakes and Tiffin with, so I decided instead of using them as cupcake or sweet treat decorations I would really make the most of them...

By making giant Easter chocolate buttons! They are inspired by the pretty 'Jazzies', (disks of chocolate decorated with nonpareils) I remember eating as a kid. I really love how they turned out and served a bunch of them on my Easter dessert table and packaged up the rest to go in my Easter fabric baskets.

They are so easy and quick to make and macaron mats are perfect to use as the moulds, when they are set, you can easily peel them off the macaron mat. They could easily be served at all different times of the year by changing the colours and theme of the sprinkles. Oh! the possibilities...

Have a sweet day!
