Chocolate bird lollipop recipe

In the past for Easter I have made lots of chocolate bunny lollipops which have gone down a treat with the kids but also look cute when displayed in shot glasses filled with candy. This year I wanted to do something a little different and as my theme was based around some pretty bird napkins I thought it would be cute to make bird lollipops...

They are super easy to make and require little effort, perfect for so many occasions!

I served mine in little shot glasses filled with coloured M&M's and made extra that I wrapped in clingfilm to add to my Easter fabric basket gifts.

  1. Make sure mold is clean, 100% dry, and are not dusty or scratched. Make sure the molds are at room temperature Lay mold on flat surface, such as a counter top or table.

  2. Melt or temper 100g of white chocolate, stir in mint or pink food colouring till you have an even colour.

  3. Carefully pour chocolate into each mold cavity until chocolate is level with the top of each opening. Lightly tap moulds on a hard surface until you remove all of the air bubbles

  4. Insert a lollipop stick, angled slightly downward, into each chocolate filled opening. Gently twist the stick to coat with chocolate and lay the stick down flat into the lollipop stick channel.

  5. Place your mold into the freezer and leave it to set

  6. When the chocolates have set, turn the mold upside down and tap it until the chocolate comes out of the mold.
