I have to follow a gluten free diet for health reasons and if you a regular reader of my blog you will know I only share gluten free recipes. So I was delighted when Hotel Chocolat contacted me to offer a Easter product review of my choosing. I of course picked something gluten free and was delighted when I received "Half 40% milk chocolate, half 50% milk chocolate Easter egg, piled high with creamy pralines and velvety-soft truffles."
"Our Extra-Thick Eggs are all about the lavishly thick shells that have starred in our Easter daydreams since we were children: mouthwateringly indulgent with a satisfying ‘crack’ as they break apart in your hands.
Just Milk is an egg of two generously proportioned halves: creamy 40% milk chocolate and deeper 50% milk chocolate. We’ve wrapped it in gold foil for a glint of anticipation when you untie the ribbon and lift the lid, then filled it with mellow truffle and praline egglets, which we’ve wrapped in tissue paper for a little mystery. Can’t wait? This year’s egg contains: Vanilla, Nuts About Raspberry, Illegal Gianduja, Salted Caramel Cream, Salted Macadamia and The Bee’s Knees."
Vanilla Egglet - Soft vanilla ganache in 40% milk, pre-cracked to reveal a creamy yolk
Illegal Gianduja - Super-smooth, intensely satisfying hazelnut praline. No compromises
Salted Caramel Cream - We’ve lifted our elegant caramel cream with a final flourish of Guérande sea salt
The Bee’s Knees - Wildflower notes of spring honey. Satisfyingly deep hazelnut. Caramel bursting with dulce de leche
Salted Macadamia - Comfortingly creamy macadamia, buttery caramel and a hint of salt
Raspberry Supermilk - Tart zingy raspberry cream shines through 65% Supermilk
What I loved most about this Easter Egg is that the egg is nice and thick and full of mini egg shaped truffles, my favourite being the Raspberry supermilk.
The perfect chocolate Easter gift for Gluten free friends, family and love ones!
Disclosure: The Hotel Chocolat Extra Thick Easter Egg – Just Milk was free of charge, with no expectation of a blog post. Opinions honest and my own.
