Sew Magazine, November 2014
I am delighted to tell you all that I have been working on some lovely sewing projects for Sew magazine, the first one is in this months edition. A quick set of nail file holders in some pretty printed fabrics from Tilda, available at Elephant in my Handbag.
When the magazine arrived through my letterbox I quickly flipped through to see what my articles looked like, great I thought. Then I started at the beginning admiring all the great sewing tutorials, lovely finds and wonderful tips and advice.
It was only later as it was sat on my coffee table that I noticed the headline at the top, 'Our Experts. Caryn Franklin. Lauren Guthrie. Torie Jayne'. If you had told my twelve year old self that one day my name would be at the top of a magazine along Caryn Franklin's I would have told you not to be so silly. You see at age twelve I declared to my family and friends one Christmas that I was going to be a "Fashion designer". I loved fashion and religiously watched the 'Clothes Show' hosted by Caryn Franklin, Jeff Banks and Selina Scott and my highlight of the year was when Mum took me to the Clothes Show Live. But I never expected in my wildest dreams that my name would appear next to any of the hosts. So a big thank you to Sew Magazine for inviting me to be one of their experts...
Watch out for next months issue as I have another sewing project in there!
