Highland Fling by Katie Alice
Today's lovely Christmas Inspiration comes from Katie Alice.
"The cozy Highland Fling design takes it’s inspiration from a chilly January trip to Edinburgh where the necessity for a tartan blanket soon evoked a fancy for a tartan tableware range! The folksy colours of the plum, dusky pink, and sage green tartan are mimicked into a vintage floral design on everyday and gift items, while rustic hand-paint spot additions in stoneware come complete with snuggly knitted cozies."
"Last year we launched a collection called Highland Fling which flaunted a cosy look with its tartan print and lovely rich Autumnal colour palette. The collection was so well received, we decided to expand the range onto lovely gifting ideas with packaging to match.
The warm colours of the hand-painted spot on teatime earthenware mixed with a pretty tartan florals really adds to the charm of this collection."
I think it is such a pretty collection that hits just the write note of traditional and vintage all in a gorgeous colour palette of dusky pinks, plum and sage green. The mix of florals, tartans, spots and deer motifs and the way they are overlaid each other is perfect! It reminds me of some of the GreenGate collections but the deer motif makes it stand out and gives it a Christmas vibe.
I love it so much, I am almost wavering on my new colour palette for this years Christmas and thinking of going with a Highland Fling kinda Christmas!
