Bloomingville Spring Summer 2016
This week I am bringing you more Spring & Summer inspiration, this time from another one of my favourite Danish brands, Bloomingville.
Bloomingville is bang on trend this Season with it's six new trends...
Bright Exotic Touches
Think tropical plant prints, indoor tropical plants, succulents and botanical prints.
A Solid Foundation
Have a solid foundation of Nordic light tones and natural materials. This foundation will make room for many seasonal additions for a harmonious feel. I love this idea and am trying to create this in our new home, from making over old pieces of furniture to new finds. That way I can introduce new pops of colour and style when I feel like it.
We see it in fashion and we see it in interior design. Elements of the past keep popping up at times with a modern twist. This season the trend turns to the rustic side of the 70's, think Boho!
This trend for Bloomingville is all about sticking to it's Nordic roots, think pale wood, simple soft lines. To adapt a Nordic style and keep up with the latest trends , be sure to surround yourself with light and dusty colours combined with natural materials. Go for items with great texture like rustic stoneware vases, smooth shiny ceramics and textured fabrics.
The look and touch of home decor is a top trend this season. As more and more of us switch to digital media we are in need of more texture at home and in our surroundings, so when something catches the eye and you feel yourself drawn to it, and know you have to touch the surface and feel the material, you know that this item belongs in your home. The wonderful tactile feel of the many new styles in this trend are beautifully accentuated with a lovely colour palette. Nude, rose, pale blue, fresh mint and mauve are prevalent this season along with dark purple, blue/grey and wine colours that create depth.
Make spending time at home a delight! Everyone live very busy lives these days, so the time you spend at home has to be calming and comfortable.
Adding just the right home accessories to your home each season can make a huge difference. It is the easiest way to bring happy changes to each room and create the home you would like through the seasons. Still trending is macrame and crochet, succulents, pineapples and metallic shades of gold and copper...
I am especially loving all the peach and rose shades with pops of gold.
