M T Masking Tape
M T Masking Tape is a Japanese brand launched by the Japanese company Kamoi who have been producing adhesive masking tapes for over 80 years. The MT brand was launched in 2007 with a range of coloured and patterned tapes, most commonly known as washi tape, since then they have gone from strength to strength and now produce new collections twice a year and have expanded the range to include extra wide interior tape.
Washi tape is a Japanese masking tape made of washi paper. To put it simply, washi tape is a high quality, often colourfully patterned masking tape typically made from natural fibres, such as bamboo or hemp. Due to its low-tack adhesive and thin yet strong construction, it is extremely easy to use, reposition, write on, tear or cut. Since the washi tape phenomenon started in 2006 in Japan it has become ever more popular, leading to greater availability of a dizzying array of colours, patterns, prints, motifs, and sizes.
