Made for Baby, Cute Sewn Gifts by Ayda Algin
Hello lovelies, hope you are all having a great day and looking forward to the weekend. Today I am delighted to be reviewing Made for Baby, Cute Sewn Gifts by Ayda Algin on the Made for Baby Blog Tour! I have been a fan of Ayda's beautiful work on her blog and social media accounts for years now so when she asked me if I would like to review her book and be part of her book blog tour I of course immediately said yes. I was delighted when I got my copy of her new book, it is so pretty and special!
Made for Baby, Cute Sewn Gifts by Ayda Algin is a how-to sew book that is full of 22 darling projects for babies, so if you have been invited to a baby shower, want to show your support for new parents, or want to make something pretty for your own lovely baby, this is perfect.
The book starts off with an introduction, helpful sewing essentials section and techniques section including how to paper piece, create your own bias binding and how to create different hand stitches.
From there we go to the 20 beautiful projects including bibs, blankets, diaper bags, cute stuffed toys, and much more to transform your child's room into a joyful playground. The projects are presented with beautiful photography and charmingly illustrated step-by-step instructions.
I love how many of the projects are fat-quarter friendly, so it can be a great way to use up scraps of fabrics you have! I chose to make a bunch of Comets for my little sister who is currently pregnant with her third child. The instructions were easy to follow and I think they are a perfect baby shower gift. My sister loved them and I can't wait to see what my new niece or nephew will think of them!
Made for Baby, Cute Sewn Gifts by Ayda Algin is a adorable soft back book full of lovely unique, inspiring sewing ideas for babies. At a recommended price of £14.99, I think this soft back book is a great buy for all you experienced or beginner sewers!
