We have moved house!

If I have seemed a bit vacant of late, here's why...

Back in April we put our old house up for sale on a Tuesday and accepted an offer on it the following Saturday. We were delighted to have sold it so quickly but a little flummoxed as we had not at that point even started looking at where we wanted to move to, let alone started looking at actual properties! You see we now both work from home and are not tied to a location due to our jobs so the world was our oyster. We knew we wanted to be in a more rural location so we started looking at our options and casted our net pretty far, but to no avail. Then I had a little thought, perhaps we could move closer to my little sister and her family who lived over 200 miles away in Devon. We had always enjoyed our trips to visit her and loved the surrounding countryside so we went to visit her for a weekend. At this point it was just a seed of an idea and we looked at lots of villages and hamlets, over several weeks the seed turned into a little plant and after hours looking at properties and areas on the internet, we fell in love with the villages surrounding the moors.
When we came to see what is now our house, we both fell in love as it ticked all our boxes and we could see the potential. We moved out of our old house two days after my little sisters wedding back in July and moved in with my lovely parents whilst we waited to purchase our new house...
Finally we picked up the keys just over three weeks ago and moved in. For the first two weeks we had all our belongings in storage whilst we got busy cleaning, removing wallpaper, old carpets and giving all the bedrooms, living room and dining room a lick of fresh white paint. We have lots to do on the house to make it our home, all of which will take time, but I can't wait to start designing what the rooms should be like, making lots of new crafts and living our country dream, I hope you will all join me on my new exciting adventure...

For some sneaky peaks at our new house and what we have done so far check out my Facebook page.

I hope to be back here on Torie Jayne next week so we can get rockin and rollin again with seasonal finds, sweet treats and lots of new inspiration...

Have a sweet day!
